Ukrainian lost to the second seed in a 3-hour match
Ukrainian tennis player Katarina Zawatskaya failed to reach the 1/4 finals of the tournament WTA 125 in Croatian Makarska.
In the second round match, Zavatskaya was annoyed by the second seed Jasmine Paolini from Italy. The duel lasted three hours.
In the decisive third set, the Ukrainian lost 4:5, but managed to win back two match points of the Italian. With the score 6:5, Zavatskaya didn’t convert her first match point.
At the tie-break, Katarina missed four more match points and lost 10:12.
Zavatskaya broke a winning streak of seven matches in a row. Last week, the Ukrainian became the winner of the ITF W60 clay tournament in Brescia.
Recall that Katerina Beindl, seeded under the sixth number, passed to the 1/4 finals of the tournament in Croatia. In the next match, the Ukrainian will play against Rebecca Shramkova from Slovakia.
