In the deciding match of the 2023 Australian Open, Korneeva defeated 16-year-old compatriot Mirra Andreeva. In the final of the junior tournament “Roland Garros”, Alina will play against the sixth seed Luxiana Perez-Alarcón from Peru.
“A second Slam final in a row feels unusual because it’s something special. Not like in Australia, but the feeling of the final is similar to a tournament with a 60,000 prize pool.
Everything is completely different here than in Melbourne, because it was very difficult for me, I had problems with my physical condition. I didn’t think about the final, but I thought about myself. Now, of course, I think of the final.
