Athletistic/Football. After the defeat in the French Open final of Iga Sventek from Poland with a score of 2:6, 7:5, 4:6, Czech tennis player Karolina Muchova did not hold back her emotions.
“It was very emotional. Amazing, thank you all. Spending two, maybe three weeks in Paris was amazing. Everything was so close, but at the same time so far, because I played against one of the best tennis players – against Iga Swiatek Congratulations to her!
Without spectators, I would never have come this far. You pushed me forward in every game, you gave me strength. I never felt like this before.
I want to say thank you to my team. I see these people and I feel like a winner. And I thank the coaches, the parents, the friends. I hope this is just the beginning and we will come back,” Mukhova said with tears in her eyes at the awards ceremony.
It was the first Grand Slam final of Muchova’s career.
