Djokovic wins his third career Roland Garros and record-breaking 23rd Grand Slam

In the final, the Serb defeated Kasper Ruud in three sets.

Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic became the winner of Roland Garros-2023. In the final match, the Serb convincingly beat the Norwegian Casper Ruud.

Tennis players spent three hours and 16 minutes on the court. In the first set, the Norwegian led 4:1 with one break, but did not keep the advantage and lost in a tie-break. Djokovic also won the next two games.

Novak won the fifth victory in five meetings with Ruud, three of which took place on clay.

The Serbian won the 23rd Grand Slam. He overtook Rafael Nadal to become the men’s tennis record holder.

Recall that Djokovic held the seventh final at Roland Garros and won the tournament for the third time in his career. The Serb became the champion of the tournament in Paris in 2016 and in 2021. In addition, he became the oldest champion in the history of Roland Garros.
