Athletistic/Tennis. Russian Tennis Federation chief Shamil Tarpishchev has spoken about the Russians’ chances of playing at Wimbledon 2023.
“It looks like everything is getting ready for us to go,” Tarpischev quoted KR Sport as saying.
He also assessed the prospects of Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev in this tournament.
“The question of the draw is important. The grass is not our cover either. We play better hard. The grass is slow now, not the same as before, but the footwork is still different. There are other shoes, with buttons. And on the grass it turns out a clean stop. You don’t roll around like on the ground. So there are questions,” the FTR leader added.
- Tarpischev: “Today Russia is truly the strongest country in the world of tennis in all respects”
