Russian tennis player Yaroslav Demin said that in the future he hopes to win Wimbledon and the US Open, and in five years he plans to be in the top 50 of the ATP rankings.
On June 10, 17-year-old Demin became the Roland Garros junior doubles champion. In the final, the Russian paired with the Mexican Rodrigo Mendes defeated the pair of Italians Lorenzo Shabazi – Gabriele Woolpitta in two sets – 6:2, 6:3.
– In five years, I definitely see myself in the top 50 ATP. Wimbledon and the US Open, I hope I can win in singles and doubles as well. And in two years I hope to be in the top 200, top 300 ATP, so that I can already try to qualify for the senior TSH. Especially if you finish the year in the top 10, and I’m #7 in the junior ranking, they give you eight wild cards for the challengers, I’ve already used four. The rest – after “RG” and Wimbledon. Already played in Spain and the Czech Republic. I played with top 100 guys, and some I played in three sets and was able to beat. But I’m not ready physically and mentally yet,” Demin told the “Championship”.
