The first racket of Ukraine, following Daria Snigur, lost in the second round to the representative of Britain.
The tennis tournament series WTA 250 in Nottingham was left without representatives of Ukraine. Both our athletes did not pass the barrier of the second round.
It will be remembered that earlier in this stage of the competition, the racket was smeared by Daria Snigur, who lost to the hostess of the courts, Cathy Bulter.
The competition was stopped at the stage of 1/8 finals and the first racket of Ukraine, Angelina Kalinina, who also lost in two sets to the representative of Great Britain, Gerriet Dart.
The latter confidently defeated the fifth seed in the tournament, spending only two sets and 90 minutes of playing time here. This is the first full-time meeting of tennis players.
Angelina Kalinina (Ukraine) – Gerriet Dart (UK) – 0:6, 5:7
It should be noted that if Snigur and Kalinina had won, the audience would have seen the Ukrainian quarterfinal in the tournament, which now automatically became British. Gerriet Dart will play Cathy Boulter.
