Daniil Medvedev: “In the match with Giron, I still lacked rhythm. I’m glad we won”

Russia’s first racket Daniel Medvedev commented on the victory over American Marcos Giron at the start of the ATP 500 tournament in Halle, Germany, noting that it was a difficult match.

Medvedev won with the score 6:4, 6:3. The meeting lasted 1h11.

— It was a difficult game. It was not the best game of my life. I still lacked rhythm. Happy to have won. It’s great to have managed to win all the difficult moments that happened during the match, ATP press service quoted Medvedev as saying.

The next opponent for the Russian No. 1 seed will be Serbia’s Laszlo Djere.
