Karatsev was defeated in this match. He lost to his opponent in three sets – 2:6, 6:3, 2:6. The total duration of the match was one hour and 56 minutes.
Thus, the Russian completed his performance at the Halle tournament. Lorenzo Sonego qualified for the second round. His opponent will be determined later.
