Lyudmila and Elena continue their title defense
First seeded Ukrainian Lyudmila Kichenok And Elena Ostapenko from Latvia reached the semi-finals of the doubles tournament WTA 250 V Birmingham.
In the 1/4 finals, Kichenok and Ostapenko defeated the duet Ulrikke Eikeri / Alexander Panov. Tennis players spent one hour on the court.
In the first set Lyudmila and Elena made two breaks and won 6:4. In the second game, the seed leaders left no chance for their opponents – 6:1.
In the semifinals, Kichenok and Ostapenko will face third seeded Storm Hunter and Alicia Parks.
Kichenok and Ostapenko are the current winners of the tournament in Birmingham. The title in Birmingham was the first joint title for tennis players at the WTA level.
Marta Kostyuk will also play in the 1/2 finals of the doubles tournament in Birmingham. The Ukrainian duet with Barbora Kreychikova will face Magda Lynette and Bernarda Pera.
