Elena defeated Kreychikova in the final
Latvian tennis player Elena Ostapenko won the grass tournament of the WTA 250 series in Birmingham.
In the final match of the tournament, Elena defeated the Czech Barbora Kreychikova. Tennis players spent one hour and 53 minutes on the court, and Ostapenko won in two sets.
Interestingly, this was the sixth meeting between the athletes, four of which were won by Ostapenko.
Ostapenko held the 14th final, in which she won her sixth title. The Latvian has already managed to win the grass tournament: in 2021, she became the winner in Eastbourne.
Kreychikova will also play today in the doubles final of the tournament in Birmingham together with Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk. In the final, Kostyuk and Kreychikova will play with the duo Storm Hunter / Alicia Parks.
