Alexander Bublik started his journey with a confident victory over Croatian tennis player Borna Coric – 6:3, 6:1. In the second round, the Kazakh defeated the German representative Jan-Lennard Struff in three sets – 6:3, 6:7 (4:7), 6:3. In the 1/4 final, Alexander Bublik overtook Yannick Sinner. The Kazakh tennis player won the first set with the score 7:5. In the second set, Sinner refused to continue playing. In the semifinals, Bublik confidently defeated the best German tennis player Alexander Zverev – 6: 3, 7: 5.
Today Andrei Rublev and Alexander Bublik met in the final of the tournament in Halle. The Russian lost the first set – 3:6. In the second set, Rublev was stronger than his opponent – 6:3. However, in the third set, the Russian again lost to Bublik – 3:6.
Thus, Alexander Bublik became the winner of the Halle tournament. This is his second ATP title. At the same time, Bublik won the ATP-500 category tournament for the first time. In the updated ranking of the organization, it will be located on the 27th line.
