Tennis player Natela Dzalamidze will perform at Wimbledon under the flag of Georgia, according to the entry list posted on the tournament website.
On the WTA website, the 44th racket in the world in doubles is now also listed as representing Georgia.
Previously, a native of Moscow performed under the flag of Russia. In May, Dzalamidze teamed up with Russian Kamilla Rakhimova at Roland Garros, losing in the first round.
At Wimbledon 2022, Dzalamidze will play in tandem with Alexandra Krunic of Serbia.
Earlier, representatives from Russia and Belarus were suspended from Wimbledon and other tournaments in the UK due to the situation in Ukraine. Later, the ATP and WTA stripped the Grand Slam tournament of ranking points.
