The fourth seed beat the Kato/Sutgiadi duo
Ukrainian Lyudmila Kichenok And Elena Ostapenko from Latvia made it to the 1/4 finals of the doubles tournament WTA 500 in British Eastbourne.
In the first round match, Kichenok and Ostapenko defeated Japanese Miya Kato and Aldila Sutjiadi from Indonesia. The fight lasted a little over an hour.
For the entire match, Lyudmila and Elena converted 3 out of 7 breakpoints, giving the opponents one game on their serve. Also, the Ukrainian and the Latvian made five aces and made three double faults.
In the 1/4 finals, Kichenok and Ostapenko will play with the winners of the match Teresa Martintsova / Barbora Stritsova – Gabriela Dabrowski / Daria Saville.
Last week, Kichenok and Ostapenko reached the 1/2 finals of the tournament in Birmingham, where they lost to Australian Storm Hunter and Alicia Parks from the USA.
