Before Wimbledon: Nadia Podorska loses in Bad Homburg’s WTA 250 debut

In the last preparation tournament before Wimbledon, the Argentine fell against American Emma Navarro 6-2, 6-0.

The diminutive Podoroska, ranked 78th in the world ranking, had little to do before losing to Navarro (60th) just after 59 minutes of the game.

Navarro will face the French in the second round Alize Cornet (74), who defeated the Italian Martina Trevisan (62) by 6-4 and 6-2, after one hour and 26 minutes of play.

Wimbledon, Podoroska’s next big goal

The Bad Homburg WTA 250, in the district of Hesse, takes place on grass and distributes a total of 259,303 euros in prizes.

The tournament in Germany will be Podoroska’s last tournament before the Wimbledon Open, the third Grand Slam of the year which starts next week.
