In the last game Kasatkina (9) was beaten 2:6, 6:7 (13:15) by American Madison Keys, who is ranked 25th in the world rankings. The duration of the match was 1 hour and 44 minutes. Kasatkina failed to hit a single ace, double faulted twice and converted two out of four break points. The Keys had two aces, a double fault and four successful break points out of a possible seven.
Keys, 28, became Eastbourne Tournament champion for the second time, having won the previous title in 2014.
