Athletistic/Tennis. Viktor Yanchuk, Russia’s honored tennis coach, hailed Andrey Rublev’s victory in the first round of Wimbledon. The Russian tennis player confidently defeated Australian Max Purcell with the score 6:3, 7:5, 6:4.
“Rublev’s victory is absolutely deserved, he played much stronger than his opponent. It is obvious that Andrei has prepared well for Wimbledon. I think he can reach the quarter-finals without any problems, and then we’ll see if it’s possible for him to beat Novak Djokovic in defense, unless, of course, the two come to a head-to-head confrontation,” Yanchuk said in an interview with TASS.
Karatsev has reached the second round of Wimbledon, where he will play against Rublev
