Ukrainian lost in three sets
Ukrainian tennis player Katerina Beindl conceded Layla Fernandez from Canada in the first round of Wimbledon 2023.
The fight lasted almost two and a half hours. Note that in the second set the fight was interrupted for an hour and a half due to rain.
In the first and second sets, the opponents exchanged victories with a score of 6:4. In the third game, Beindl led 3-2, but gave up two games on her serve and lost 4-6.
Earlier, Lesya Tsurenko entered the second round of Wimbledon 2023, beating American Claire Liu in three sets. Elina Svitolina will play the opening match of the tournament today. Former first racket of Ukraine will meet with the legendary Venus Williams.
Tomorrow, July 4, Angelina Kalinina and Marta Kostyuk will play the first round matches.
