Athletistic/Tennis. Andrei Rublev has spoken out on banning Russian and Belarusian athletes from competing at Wimbledon in 2022.

Rublev qualified for the second round of Wimbledon 2023 by defeating Australian Max Purcell 6-3, 7-5, 6-4 in his first match of the tournament.

He said: “I think we could find a solution. If we really wanted to help or do something good for tennis, then in my opinion obviously there would be better options than just banning. In the end account, it doesn’t work They only made it worse for themselves There were options that could make things better for everyone We’re here now, and I’m glad to be back to participate in the tournament”, reports RIA Novosti in reference to Asapsports.

Last year, Wimbledon organizers decided to ban the participation of tennis players from Russia and Belarus. Because of this, the tournament was stripped of ranking points.
