Kasatkina can go far at Wimbledon, she is fit now, says Vesnina

Russia’s first racket Daria Kasatkina can go deep in the Wimbledon tournament grid, the Olympic tennis doubles champion has told Elena Vesnina.

On Monday, Kasatkina, who received the 11th seed, defeated American Caroline Dolhide 6:1, 6:4 in the first round of the tournament. The 26-year-old Russian’s best result at Wimbledon is in the quarter-finals in 2018.

– A great victory for Dasha, especially since she only played a very difficult match in the final of the Eastbourne tournament on Saturday. She only had one day of adaptation to get used to the Wimbledon courts. Yet they are different from the courts of Eastbourne. It is very important that Dasha has recovered and is ready for the first round, which is always very exciting.

Kasatkina can go far. Reaching the final in Eastbourne says she is in very good shape at the moment. Even on her not so favorite grass surface, Dasha shows great tennis, Vesnina told .

Britain’s Jodie Burrage will be Kasatkina’s next opponent.
