Recall that in her first match at Wimbledon 2023, Veronika Kudermetova (12th in the WTA ranking) beat Estonian Kaya Kanepi (101st in the WTA ranking). The match ended with the victory of the Russian tennis player in straight sets with the score 7:6 (7:4), 6:4. In the next round, Kudermetova will face the winner of the match between Marketa Vondrousova (Czech Republic) and Piton Stearns (USA).
