American tennis player Corey Gauff was beaten in the first round of the Wimbledon tournament.
Gauff, seeded seventh, lost to her compatriot on Monday Sofia Kenin with a score of 4:6, 6:4, 2:6. The meeting lasted more than two hours.
Moscow-born Kenin, who entered the main draw of the tournament through qualification, will play with China’s Wang Xinyu in the next match.
