“It’s not fair, it’s not tennis” – Shapovalov on the behavior of an opponent at Wimbledon

Canadian tennis player Denis Shapovalov was unhappy with the behavior of his opponent Radu Albot of Moldova during their first round match at Wimbledon.

During the first set, on Shapovalov’s serve, Albot got close enough to the net and then dug deep into the court, trying to force his opponent to make a mistake on the serve, which ended up product.

– He constantly jumps around the pitch. This is absurd. I too will start the same now, and then we can party here. I mean, it’s not fair, it’s not tennis. The only purpose is to distract me, – Shapoval quotes Tennis-Infinity referee.

As a result, the match was suspended with the score 7-5, 2-2 in favor of Albot due to darkness. The game will be played on July 4.
