Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan, Ons Jaber of Tunisia, last year’s finalists, and Arina Sobolenko of Belarus, world No. 2, won their matches and advanced to the second round.

The remaining matches, including the participation of Russians Anastasia Potapova, Ekaterina Aleksandrova, Anna Blinkova and Mirra Andreeva, were postponed to the next day, July 5.
