Despite the game having to be suspended for lack of light, the Chilean was able to show off some of his best shots on the English pitch.
It was not an easy time for Nicolás Jarry. After a tight first set, an error in the tenth game allowed Marco Cecchinato to take the break, with which the Italian won the first set 6-4. In this way, the prince came out with everything to try to change his luck at Wimbledon.
In the first game of the second set, Jarry got a spectacular and quick break that allowed him to take the lead. And the game ended in style: after Cecchinato’s serve, Nico returned a forehand which left the European tennis player without much reaction.
The Chilean clenched his fist with everything and looked towards the stands. The game marked the start of Jarry’s total dominance in the second round, in which he won 4–1 until the duel was suspended due to lack of light.
