At Wimbledon, Rublev never made it past the fourth round. Maybe this time he can overcome that barrier. The seventh racquet in the world has significantly improved the quality of its game on grass.
In the next meeting, Rublev is far from the most convenient opponent. Andrei faced Karatsev only once at ATP tournaments – in the semi-finals in Dubai. Aslan won this meeting with a score of 6:2, 6:4, 4:6.

Karatsev flew out of the Australian Open, losing in the first round to Grigor Dimitrov – 0:3 (6:7, 5:7, 2:6). He dropped out of Roland Garros, losing to Francis Tiafoe – 1:3 (6:3, 3:6, 5:7, 2:6). At the grass tournament of the ATP-500 category in Halle, Aslan also did not succeed. He lost in the first round to Lorenzo Sonego – 1:2 (2:6, 6:3, 2:6).
Karatsev failed to avoid problems in Wimbledon first round match with 19-year-old French tennis player Luca Van Aschem – 3:1 (6:7, 6:4, 6:2, 6:4 ). In the upcoming match, Aslan is unlikely to win, but he will definitely be able to impose a fight on Rublev.
Rublev gained confidence in his own abilities and also adapted to the speed of the grass surface. I think he will beat the less stable Karatsev. After all, Andrei is the seventh racket in the world.
