“The more the public applauds me, the better. They are doing me a favor.” – Djokovic

Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic said fans who oppose him during games often help him succeed.

Djokovic beats the Australian in the second round of Wimbledon Jordan Thompson (6:3, 7:6 (7:4), 7:5), this victory was the 350th of the Serb in the Grand Slam tournaments.

In fact, they are doing me a favor. The more they encourage me, the better it is for me. They awaken something in me that maybe they don’t want to see – a winner. As a player, you want to have most of the stands on your side. I don’t want to play in a hostile environment.

However, it turns out that the fans support my opponent in most games of my career. It’s my destiny, and it’s normal, sometimes I find it difficult to accept it, sometimes I don’t understand the reaction of the public, but it’s their right. Sometimes, however, certain people are bolder in what they say from the stands – when that is the case, they should expect me to respond and react. This has happened in the past, in major tournaments all over the world. It gives me extra fuel, inspires me to play even better, – quotes the words of Djokovic Tennis Majors.

The Serb has won 23 Grand Slam titles in his career, an absolute record in men’s tennis. In the next round of Wimbledon, the second racket in the world will meet the Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka.
