Beindl advances to second round of Wimbledon doubles

Two Ukrainian tennis players started in doubles Wimbledon 2023.

Hope Kichenok And Alicia Rosolska (Ukraine/Poland) lost to the third seed of the tournament – Storm Hunter/Elise Mertens (Australia/Belgium). The meeting lasted 62 minutes: in two sets, a couple of Nadezhda and Alicia gave five of their innings to their opponents.

Katerina Beindl and Australian Daria Seville successfully played against Anna-Lena Fridsam and Mayar Sheriff (Germany/Egypt). The first set was left for the Ukrainian-Australian pair (6:4). Friedsam and Sheriff led 5-2 in the second set, but lost five games in a row.

In doubles at Wimbledon 2023, Ukraine will be represented by Lyudmila Kychenok, who will play with Elena Ostapenko from Latvia, Marta Kostyuk (paired with Elena-Gabriela Ruse from Romania), and Angelina Kalinina, who will play with another Romanian Irina-Kamelia Begu.
