The Wimbledon third round match between the Russian Andrei Rublev and Belgian David Goffin personified everything that lawn tennis is interesting for, Alexey Selivanenko, vice-president of the Russian Tennis Federation (FTR), told .

The match ended 6:3, 6:7 (6:8), 7:6 (7:5), 6:2 in favor of the tournament’s seventh seed from Russia. The duration of the match was 3 hours.

– As for Rublev’s potential in the tournament, it’s high for anyone who reaches the fourth round at Wimbledon. The composition is very uniform and in each match there can be any result. Everyone plays with a mindset to win.

The game with Goffin was good. A good match on grass with many beautiful and interesting draws. Yes, it didn’t last five sets, but the match itself personified everything lawn tennis is about, Selivanenko told .

In the next round, Rublev will play with Alexander Bublik from Kazakhstan.
