Czech tennis player Jiri Legechka qualified for the fourth round of the Wimbledon tournament.
Legechka beat 16th-seeded American Tommy Paul in the third round 6:2, 7:6 (7:2), 6:7 (5:7), 6:7 (9:11 ), 6: 2. The meeting lasted just over four hours.
The 21-year-old Czech’s next opponent will be the third racket in the Russian world Daniel Medvedev .
In a side game, first-seeded Spaniard Carlos Alcaras edged 25-year-old Chilean Nicholas Harry in four games. To reach the quarter-finals, Alcaraz will compete with the winner of the confrontation between Alexander Zverev (Germany, 19) and Matteo Berrettini (Italy).
Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas in the third round was stronger than Serbian Laszlo Djere. Then, the fifth racket in the world will meet the American Christopher Eubanks, who had not yet passed the Grand Slam tournaments beyond the second round.
