Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev, who reached the fourth round of Wimbledon today, July 8, beating Hungarian player Marton Fucovich in four sets, became the third Russian representative to reach this stage of the tournament. Earlier, Andrei Rublev and Roman Safiullin also reached the 1/8 finals. This is a repeat of the Russian record at Grand Slam tournaments.
Earlier in history, only six times three Russian tennis players reached the 1/8 finals of the TBSH simultaneously, and Wimbledon 2023 was already the seventh case.
