Ukrainian tennis player Angelina Kalinina withdrew from the doubles draw Wimbledon 2023.
Ukrainian paired with Irina Camellia Run in the second round she met with the third seeds of the tournament Storm Hunter and Eliza Mertens. The fight started on Saturday.
The first set was won by Hunter and Mertens, they also took the lead in the second set, after which the match was interrupted. On Sunday, Kalinina and Begu refused to play out the meeting, agreeing with the defeat.
Earlier, Katerina Beindl, who plays in a duet with Australian Daria Saville, and Marta Kostyuk, paired with Elena-Gabriela Ruse from Romania, went to the second round of the doubles at Wimbledon 2023. Two more Ukrainians, Nadezhda and Lyudmila Kichenok, lost their fights in the first round.
