Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva after defeating a compatriot Anastasia Potapova said she worked hard ahead of Wimbledon and was happy to reach the Round of 16 of the tournament.

In the third round, Andreeva defeated Potapova with the score 6:2, 7:5.

– I’m happy to have won this match. Congratulations to Anastasia, she played very well, did a good job with the team. I did everything I could, I wanted to work on the court until the very end and now I feel good. I love Wimbledon, it’s a great atmosphere.

The Russian tennis player’s next rival at Wimbledon will be American Madison Keys (25th seed).
