Athletistic/Tennis. Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina spoke about reaching the semi-finals of Wimbledon. The competitions take place in London.
In the quarterfinals, Svitolina defeated the world’s leading racket, Poland’s Iga Sventek, in three sets, with the score 7:5, 6:7 (5:7), 6:2. The athletes spent almost three hours on the field.
“At the start of the tournament, if someone told me that I would be in the semi-finals and beat the first racket in the world, I would call that person crazy,” Svitolina said on the court after the match.
In the 1/2 final, Svitolina will meet the Czech Marketa Vondrousova.
In 2022, Wimbledon was won by Kazakhstan representative Elena Rybakina.
