Athletistic/Tennis. Today, July 11, took place the match of the 1/4 finals of Wimbledon, which takes place in London on grass. The Ukrainian Elina Svitolina, who occupies the 76th place in the WTA ranking, met the first racket in the world, the Polish Iga Shventek.

In the first set, Svitolina won 7:5. In the second match, there was a tie-break, but it was better held by Sventek. In the decisive 3rd match, Svitolina turned out to be stronger – 6:2.

Previously, athletes only played once. In 2021, Šwiętek won the 1/4 finals of the clay court tournament in Rome.

In the semifinals, Svitolina will face Marketa Vondrousova of the Czech Republic.
