Athletistic/Tennis. Yelena Rybakina, Kazakh tennis player and world No. 3, has spoken out after her Wimbledon quarter-final loss.
In the quarterfinals, Rybakina lost to Tunisian Ons Jaber, who is ranked 6th in the world rankings, with the score 7:6 (7:5), 4:6, 1:6.
“It’s a shame. Today was a tough game. But I still think it’s been a good two weeks for me.
It seems to me that Ons made better decisions on the court than last year in the 2022 Wimbledon final. I also had a lot of chances, especially in the second set. I felt my serve wasn’t that strong. We played really well today, especially in the key moments.
It’s hard to say who the Wimbledon favorite is right now. But Ons played very well – not only today, but also in other matches. However, I think it will be very difficult for her against Arina Sobolenko. I would say one of them is the favourite,” Rybakina said at a press conference.
