Marchenko advanced to the second round of Wimbledon qualification

The Ukrainian defeated an opponent from the Netherlands

Ukrainian tennis player Ilya Marchenko successfully passed the first round of Wimbledon qualification.

In the first round of selection, the Ukrainian defeated Jesper de Jong from the Netherlands in three sets. The match between the rivals lasted an hour and 48 minutes. Marchenko filed 4 innings right through and made one double fault.

Jason Jiong from Chinese Taipei will be the next opponent of the Ukrainian in qualifying. Interestingly, in 2013, tennis players met as part of the qualification for the ATP tournament in San Jose, and then Marchenko managed to defeat his opponent.

The first racket of Ukraine Vitaliy Sachko also plays in the Wimbledon qualification, who plays against the Swiss Dominik Stricker.
