Hispanic Carlos Alcaraz became the first tennis player to qualify for the final tournament of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).
On Sunday, the 20-year-old Spaniard defeated Serbian Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon final – 1:6, 7:6 (8:6), 6:1, 3:6, 6:4.
Alcaraz with 6675 points takes first place in the updated championship race standings.
The Spaniard was able to qualify for the final tournament for the second year in a row. Last year, he did not participate due to an injury.
The final ATP-2023 tournament will be held from November 12 to 19 in Turin, Italy.
