Russian tennis player Elina Avanesyan overcame the starting circle of the WTA tournament in Budapest.
In the first round, the 20-year-old Russian was stronger than Slovakian representative Rebecca Shramkova in three matches. Rivals in the world rankings are shared by more than 100 positions (Avanesyan – 69th, Shramkova – 171st).
In the second round, Avanesyan will play with the winner of the Hungarian confrontation, Timea Babos – Anna Bondar.
