The tennis player commented on the night shelling of Odessa by the Russian army
Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremskaya responded to the night shelling of Odessa by the Russian army.
“WTA and ITF, just check my stories, or watch some videos, or maybe visit Ukraine? Then you will change your mind about the Russians.”
“Someone is sleeping well now, you know who I mean, and someone else is trying to survive. Or all Ukrainian players do not sleep during tournaments, because they follow the news. Is this fair?”, — wrote the tennis player.
Earlier, Nikita Vlasov, coach of Ukrainian tennis player Lesya Tsurenko, said that WTA chairman Steve Simon regularly blocks any attempts by Ukrainians to convey information about the war on the tennis tour. According to the coach, the official made it clear that he was in favor of allowing Russians and Belarusians to compete in the 2024 Olympics.
Early on the morning of February 24, 2022, Russia launched rocket and air strikes on most Ukrainian cities and then launched a full-scale military invasion. The war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine has been going on for the 511th day.
