The Argentine tennis player defeated Czech Anna Siskova 6-3, 6-0 and entered the top eight of the tournament.
Nadia Podoroska advanced this Thursday to the quarterfinals of WTA 250 in Budapestin Hungary, after comfortably defeating Czech Anna Siskova 6-3, 6-0.
The small Podoroska, born in Rosario and ranked 80th in the WTA world rankings, played at a very high level and defeated Siskova (377) in one hour and 12 minutes of play.
The 26-year-old from Rosario will play in tomorrow’s quarterfinals against the winner of the match later to be entertained by Hungarian Anna Bondar (144) and Russian Elina Avanesyan (69).
The WTA 250 in Budapest takes place on brick dust surface courts, will distribute a total of 225,480 euros in prizes and quickly run out of the top favorite for the title, the American Bernarda Pera (39), who lost in the first round with the Russian Diana Shnaider (110) 6-4, 7-5.
