The Polish border guard did not let the Russian tennis player Vera Zvonareva to the country to participate in the WTA tournament, according to the country’s official government website.
The WTA 250 category tournament will be held in Warsaw from July 24-30. Zvonareva is on the list of participants.

The Russian woman, who is on the list of persons whose stay on the territory of Poland is undesirable, was not allowed to pass through the border guard for reasons of state and public security, the report said.
Zvonareva is 38 years old and has 12 personal WTA titles to her credit.
