Multiple Serbian Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic will not play in the Masters series tournament in Toronto (Canada), according to to place competitions.
As reported, the 36-year-old tennis player withdrew from the tournament due to fatigue.
— I have always enjoyed spending time in Canada, but after talking with the team, we decided it was the right decision. I would like to thank Karl Hale, Tournament Director, for his understanding. I really hope I can come back to Canada and Toronto in the years to come to play in front of big fans,” Djokovic said.
The world’s second-highest spot in the Masters main draw will be taken by Wimbledon 2023 quarter-finalist, American Christopher Eubanks.
The tournament will take place in Toronto from August 7-13.
