Athletistic / Tennis The first racket in the world, Russian Daniil Medvedev, in his opening match of the ATP-250 grass tournament in Mallorca, beat another Russian Aslan Karatsev (4:6, 6:3, 6:2) and won reached the quarter-finals of the competition.

Medvedev had nine aces, five double faults and converted three out of seven break points. Karatsev, ranked 43rd in the ATP rankings, had one success, five double faults and converted one out of three break points.

In the quarter-finals of the tournament, Medvedev’s opponent will be Spanish tennis player Roberto Bautista-Agut.

Recall that Daniil Medvedev is the current winner of the contest. Last year he beat Sam Querrey in the final (6:4, 6:2).
