Athletistic/Tennis. Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios does not support the ATP’s move to allow “coaching” in tennis – in-match coaching advice.
“Tennis will lose one of the few unique characteristics that no other sport has. Previously, the player had to manage everything himself. That was the beauty. What if a better player meets a low-ranking player who doesn’t have a coach or can’t afford it?” Kiryos wrote in one of the social networks.
According to the new rules, special places will be allocated to tennis coaches during matches in ATP tournaments. They will be allowed to communicate with players in simple words, short sentences or hand signals. Long conversations with tennis players, interfering with an opponent and interrupting play by coaches will be penalized.
