Athletistic/Tennis. The 22-year-old Russian tennis player Anastasia Potapova, ranked 27th in the standings, could not pass the first round of the WTA-1000 tournament in Montreal.

In the opening match against world No. 17 Karolina Muchova of the Czech Republic, Potapova was beaten 6:7 (4:7), 2:6. The duration of the match was 1 hour and 47 minutes. Potapova had an ace, had five double faults and converted just one of six break points. Mukhova landed six aces, committed four double faults and managed to convert three out of nine break points.

This fight was the first for Potapova after recovering from an ankle injury sustained in the first round of the WTA-500 tournament in Washington, USA.
