Spanish world number one Carlos Alcaraz named former tennis player Maria Sharapova a great player, noting that he often watched matches with the participation of Russians.

– I watched a lot of matches with Sharapova. She was a great tennis player. Perhaps one of the best in the world. I was shocked because I didn’t expect her to be in Toronto.
