Russian tennis player Anna Chakvetadze paired with Luxembourg representative Laura Palumbo failed to reach the second round of the ITF tournament in Belgium Duffel.
At the start of the tournament, Chakvetadze and Palumbo were beaten by Russian Polina Bakhmutkina and Belgian Chelsea Vanhutt. The match ended with the score of 4:6, 4:6.
Chakvetadze has won eight WTA singles titles in his career. She last competed on the WTA Tour in 2012. Previously, Chakvetadze had resumed her professional career and was on the reserve list for three ITF tournaments in Belgium in singles.
