Athletistic/Tennis. Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev failed to reach the quarter-finals of the Masters tournament in Cincinnati (USA).

In the third round of the competition, Medvedev (3) was beaten by German tennis player Alexander Zverev (16), the 2020 Olympic singles champion and former world number two, with a score of 4:6, 7:5, 4 : 6. The meeting lasted 2 hours and 36 minutes. Meanwhile, Medvedev successfully tabled five times, committed seven double faults and converted two out of a possible eight break points. Zverev laid down four aces, committed three double faults and converted three break points from eight break points.

At the next stage of the tournament in Cincinnati, Zverev will meet the winner of the pair Mackenzie Macdonald (USA, WC) and Adrian Mannarino (France).
