US Open to host a charity match in support of Ukraine

Among the participants – Svitolina and Alcaraz

Organizers US Open 2023 announced the charity match in support of Ukraine.

All proceeds from the game will be donated to Ukraine’s GlobalGiving aid fund. The event is scheduled for August 23rd.

Among the participants of the charity game are the first racket of Ukraine Elina Svitolina, the leader of the rating among men Carlos Alcaras, tennis players from the USA Francis Tiafoe and Jessica Pegula and Italian Matteo Berrettini.

US Open 2023 qualifiers start on August 22. The main draw of the tournament will take place from August 28 to September 10.

The prize money for the 2023 US Open will be $65 million. This is a record amount of prize money in the history of the event.

Five Ukrainian tennis players Elina Svitolina, Angelina Kalinina, Marta Kostyuk, Lesya Tsurenko and Katerina Beindl were included in the application list of the US Open 2023 main draw.
